Poem – The Centerpiece!

Ten seconds! Then you smiled at me.
In my arms, warm and sturdy.
My heart kept
beating and beating and beating
of love.
I had lost my heart in less then ten seconds.
I lost it when I first laid my eyes on you!

❤ ❤ ❤

For my youngest grandchild when he had just turned four months old and I met him for the first time.

Now he and his parents live much closer to me, and in less then 2 weeks we will all gather together and celebrate his 6th birthday.

No! I won’t add a photo of him.
That is privacy matter.

  1. Sweet poem❤️ and I agree with your choice of privacy, you never know who’s anonymously reading or taking photos from your blog. I posted about my sons bday recently (with no photos or his real name) and made it private after a day, because I only wanted the message to be seen by my followers briefly, not permanently publicly accessible. So wonderful that your family is moving closer and you’ll get to see them more frequently. I wish I lived closer to my extended family.

    1. Thank you, Judy! I too have been more careful about what I publish. Most of it is just bla-bla, or something that doesn’matter much. Like how many words I’ve written to NaNoWriMo. But all exerpts from what I’ve written I’ve made private. Though it seems like old stuff is rarely visited and read. The ”real” thing I don’t publish at all. I mean, how big is the chance of some publisher sees them, think they are good and contact me saying they want to publish my stuff. If someone did, I would think it was just a swindler of some kind.

      1. The story I’m working on now, I’ll try to get a publishing company to publish for me. At least try that to begin with. But it will take a long time before I get to that point. I reckon, at least a year. Maybe I can speed the process up a bit during summer. It has always been easier for me to write when the days are longer and brighter. On the balcony.
